10104 W. 105th Street Overland Park, KS, 66212

Rachel Whitsitt is a family law attorney based in the Overland Park office of Joseph, Hollander & Craft. She assists Kansas and Missouri clients with matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, guardianship, grandparent rights, and paternity matters.

Committed to resolving her clients’ cases as efficiently and fairly as possible, Rachel believes in open and direct communication. It helps her clients develop a practical plan of action for their cases. And it garners trust from judges, opposing counsel, mediators, conciliators, and guardians ad litem.

Rachel joined JHC in July 2022, establishing the firm’s Overland Park family law practice. For the previous decade, Rachel had served Kansas and Missouri clients alongside her father, long-time Johnson County family law attorney Mike Whitsitt. During her tenure at Whitsitt & Whitsitt, LLC, Rachel gained significant experience with high-asset divorce cases and related issues—like complex property valuations, making and interpreting premarital agreements, and distinguishing income from property when stock options and S-Corporations are involved. Rachel also has significant experience helping clients navigate complex child custody and child support situations, making sure her clients are able to achieve results geared toward the best interests of their children. Drawing on this knowledge, Rachel now helps JHC’s clients adeptly navigate these and similarly complex situations.

Prior to commencing her law career, Rachel earned B.A.s in Political Science and Psychology from Kansas State University (2007) and her J.D. from Creighton University (2010). She was admitted to practice law in Colorado in 2010 and in Kansas and Missouri in 2012. Rachel is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Johnson County Family Law Inn of Court, and the Kansas Women’s Attorney Association.
